Profile
I’m a production software engineer in automotive infotainment systems, but my actual path runs from hardware circuit design, through embedded and application software, to the agile process that ships it across a multinational team.
I currently run the Scrum process for the Factory Inspection Function on Renault’s next-generation in-vehicle platform, coordinating development across Qualcomm, Ampere, and LG. In an earlier role on another Renault program, I standardized factory verification methods across two client models and rolled them out consistently across factories in Korea, Vietnam, Poland, and Mexico; before that, refactoring a bottlenecked inspection program lifted a production line’s throughput from roughly 200 to 300 units per hour.
Work Experience
LG Electronics — VS Division, AVN SW DevelopmentApr 2017 – Present · Seoul, South Korea
Senior Researcher
- Since 2023, running the Scrum process for the Factory Inspection Function on Renault’s next-generation in-vehicle platform, coordinating development across Qualcomm, Ampere, and LG
- Architected the factory-only dual-boot mode on the QNX Hypervisor platform, including its lifecycle design
- Standardized factory (EOL) verification methods across Renault and Nissan models and rolled them out consistently across factories in Korea, Vietnam, Poland, and Mexico
- Refactored a bottlenecked inspection program, lifting a production line’s throughput from roughly 200 to 300 units per hour (UPH)
- Built AVN diagnosis SW for DTC operation (ISO 15031), a diagnostic test tool for developers, and C++ libraries over Android HIDL interfaces, using UDS (ISO 14229-5) and DoIP (ISO 13400-2) stacks
- Designed production data-flow infrastructure for Google RKP, Widevine key provisioning, buyer part authentication, and Qualcomm SKU processing
- Built an internal retrieval layer (RAG with a knowledge graph) over mail, team chat, meeting transcripts and Confluence/JIRA history, including automated linkage of mail threads to the JIRA issues they concern
- Automated sprint reporting over the JIRA REST API (JQL), with stale-ticket auto-commenting and a team dashboard
- Rebuilt an unbuildable legacy FactoryOS build environment as a reproducible container image, removing a single-machine dependency
TmaxOS — WinAPI Compatibility TeamApr 2016 – Apr 2017 · Seongnam, South Korea
Researcher
- Built a compatibility layer to run Windows executables on TmaxOS
- Ported WinAPI, focused on device-driver-level components, to Linux/Unix APIs
INHA University — Embedded Computing LabJan 2014 – Jan 2015 · Incheon, South Korea
Undergraduate Researcher
- HW circuit design (schematic + PCB artwork) and embedded C programming across three projects: a train door control unit, an RFID-to-RS232 converter, and an autonomous mini-car control board with PID motor control
