Developed a compatibility layer to run Windows executables on TmaxOS.

Role

• Built the compatibility layer to enable Windows systems on TmaxOS
• Ported WinAPI (especially device driver parts) onto TmaxOS

Key Activities

• Enabled Windows executables to run on TmaxOS
• Analyzed WinAPI and mapped/ported to Linux / Unix APIs
• Owned device-related WinAPI responsibilities

Technical Notes

• Kernel and API level work in C
• Compared the Windows device driver model with the Linux/Unix kernel model
• Experience with system call and I/O abstraction
